SONG REQUESTS

UPDATE:

Thanks for the song requests.

I have some more song requests lined up from +Shannon Vulu+Rochelle Savage, +Te Mihinga Komene, a couple of song endorsements or recommendations from +Anaru White.  I have been spending the past few weeks writing blog posts about my late husband Loma.  August is a particularly difficult month with my birthday, our wedding anniversary and his birthday.

Thanks for your support over the past year.  I've had over 115,000 pageviews since I first started writing.  I look forward to more requests so keep sending them in.

Don't forget to follow the Spotify playlist so that you can listen along to the songs featured in the blog posts in your own time.  Thanks for your support - really appreciate it!

Stay tuned for some more great music :-)

Thanks to +Rosa Alo and +Metitilani Alo for sharing the blog wider with your networks.  It's been great to get some new followers like +Malaefou Pouli and all your friends from Australia.

UPDATE:

Thanks for the song requests.
I've been trialling something new; a conversation series.
I write conversations with people that I would have with them and write about it in three consecutive blog posts (like a trilogy I guess haha).
There are song endorsements as well (as opposed to song requests or blog post dedications) as people who I've had conversations with, talk about songs that they particularly like so I write about them.

I have some more song requests lined up for +Rochelle Savage and +Teanau Tuiono (I haven't forgotten brother, it's on its way).  As well as some other song endorsements by +Anaru White and a few more conversation pieces for friends and people who I've connected with.

Stay tuned for some more great music :-)

UPDATE:

Thanks for the song requests over the past month.
They have certainly been keeping me busy - particularly for my dear friend +Monique Simpson.
I still have about 65 drafts in my draft folder waiting to be unleashed.
I still have a few song requests from people that are waiting to be written - don't worry they're on their way!  I have featured a number of tracks by Tribal State in recent posts so please be sure to check out the Facebook page or look for them on ReverbNation.  You can also find their music on iTunes or on Spotify.  I've been tapping into my inner rocker of my childhood (lol) but if there are any other genres you would like me to cover - drop me a line.

I note that the most popular blog posts continue to be Samoan songs - so I will lining up some more Samoan songs with translations and of course my own interpretation of what they mean.

Please continue to tweet me your song requests @ManuMuso.

Stay tuned for some more great music :-)

UPDATE:

Thanks for all the song requests over the past few weeks.
I'm slowly working my way through a couple more from +Rochelle Savage+Alex Hotere-Barnes and +Teanau Tuiono (don't worry brother, I haven't forgotten yours!)

I will also be featuring music from Tribal State, a NZ based rock band who have been playing the local circuit for the past few years and are hoping to release new material in the coming months.

In the meantime, check out an early track of theirs on YouTube - search for Long Way Home - Tribal State.  You can also find them on Facebook under their Tribal State page, complete with the tracks which I will feature in the coming weeks.  So get on there and have a listen, otherwise you can also follow @levisesega - the lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the band for more information.

Always good to support homegrown music!

Tweet me on @ManuMuso and drop me a line for song requests and I'll stack 'em up!

Stay tuned for some more great music :-)

UPDATE:

Just wanted to send a massive shout out to all of you who requested songs for NZ Music month which is now officially over for this year - take a bow +Rochelle Savage+Anaru White+Alex Hotere-Barnes+Ngatai Walker for keeping me busy writing last month lol.

I was down to the wire and relied on northern hemisphere to sneak me through with 31 posts this month - all kiwi songs!

I paid tribute to two more people who have passed away Lofi Lauese and Niulevaea Leao Faga Mafoe.  Love and light to your families.  We will never forget the marks you imprinted on our hearts.

I've got some other song requests and dedication posts coming up - so please keep reading.

Tweet me on @ManuMuso and drop me a line for song requests and I'll stack 'em up!

UPDATE:

Hey everyone!
It's NZ Music Month and I'm not as forthcoming with the posts like I was last year - there are some other priorities on the horizon that need sorting but trust me, the posts are there waiting in the wings!

I have some song requests coming up for +Anaru White+Rochelle Savage,
+Alex Hotere-Barnes+Ngatai Walker during NZ Music Month and when we hit June, we will return to the 'rest of the world' song requests, particularly with a newcomer +Teanau Tuiono on the scene.

Don't forget to tweet song requests to @ManuMuso or on Google Plus +Manu Faaea-Semeatu.

Stay tuned for some more great music :-)

UPDATE:

If I had an award for the most song requests in quick succession, the winner would be +Rochelle Savage lol.  Don't worry I've got your list of songs down and they will be featured in the coming week.  The kiwi song you suggested will be saved for NZ Music Month (that's "J" sorted for my alphabetical listing!!!).

So be on the look out for some tracks from Sinead O'Connor, Cornershop, Jean Paul Satre Experience and some old skool hip hop jams from +Ngatai Walker

Still on the look out for more kiwi songs that you might like, so please drop me a line on my Twitter handle @ManuMuso

Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones :-)

NZ Music Month is coming up in May so if you could drop me some song requests on Twitter that would be fantastic.  Last year I tried to do an alphabetical listing of artists and bands every day of NZ Music Month.  So please get back to me with your suggestions!

In the meantime, don't forget to follow ManuScript on Spotify :-)

Happy Easter for next week as well!

Have you been waiting anxiously for me to write about your favourite song - but I haven't . . . yet?

Like that wonderful accommodating DJ at your favourite discotheque/nightclub/bar/house
(depends on where you frequent really. . or where you frequently listen to music. . .)
I can finally tell you that. . . I'm not a mind reader.

BUT like that cool DJ at your favourite hangout, if you have any songs
that you would like me to blog about -
drop me a couple of lines here and I'll include it in my track list.

I need the song title and artist/band name.

Look forward to hearing from you!
